Coach Resigns and then within a span of 48 hours there is an announcement of the new coach

This is what is the situation in the atmosphere of ATK Mohun Bagan FC. There is something that has created a much awakening in the Indian Football over the past few days, i.e., sacking or resigning of coaches and appointment of new coaches.

Now let’s come to the point. After a 4-match winless streak or run, the former HEAD COACH of ATK Mohun Bagan FC had resigned from his post thinking and realizing the fact that the players who have been newly recruited in the team does not match the style of his play. Thus, having such a good team, probably the best team in the tournament, the team is unable to perform upto its desired level. Hence, he has taken his decision after the 3-3 draw against a struggling Bengaluru FC. Hence, with a four match winless run he decides that this is the right time when he should resign from this position. And he did the same on the night of 17th December he gave this resignation to the ATKMB management and on 18th morning the management accepted his resignation. And there were a big rumour that he may move to SC East Bengal but there is no chance of him joining the Arch-rival club. He has gone back to Spain to spend his Christmas with his family.

Now, we come to the point where it comes to the selection of new head coach of this team. There were many names as runours but the two of the strongest names were Albert Roca, the former Fitness and Conditioning coach of FC Barcelona and the three time ISL league shield winner and one time champion coach, i.e., Sergio Lobera. Other two names were the head coach of FC Goa Juan Ferrando and former Chelsea manager Andre Villas Boyas. But Albert Roca is still with the team with former Barca head coach Ronald Koeman. And Sergio Lobera is  contracted with CITY FOOTBALL GROUP. And CFG is totally unwilling to release him, as they have further plans with him. So after a meeting with the players, the management thought and took a concrete decision that they will appoint then FC Goa head coach Juan Ferrando as their new head coach at any cost. So they started talking with Juan Ferrando himself and he himself was Eagar to take up this job. And hence the management triggered the exit clause or the buyout clause of him from FC Goa. And finally they are success in doing this.

Thus the final conclusion is that Juan Ferrando is the boss of ATK Mohun Bagan FC after Antonio Lopez Habas. Assistant coach of FC Goa Cliford Miranda will be the interim coach of FC Goa till the new head coach is chosen.
